Renovation and Modernization
The contract agreement for “Renovation & modernization with new T & G set of Unit 5 & 6 of HHEP, Burla was signed with M/s Voith Hydro Pvt. Ltd, India on Dt. 16.10.2015. The effective date of contract is 16.10.2015 and the activity for R&M has commenced. Refurbishment works of Draft tube gates of Unit-6 & Unit 5 started from June-2016 and completed. Refurbishment work of Intake gate of Unit 5 & 6 is in progress. Dismantling of Generator and Balance of Plant equipment of Unit No.6 & Unit No.5 were started from 04.08.2016 & 01.12.2016 respectively .The dismantling of Unit 6 completed and shifted to store yard. Dismantling of Generator of Unit 5 is completed and Dismantling of turbine is in process. Supply of Different materials are under process.
OHPC has engaged M/s WAPCOS Ltd. as consultant for Providing Consultancy services for implementation of the R&M project of Unit 5 & 6 of HHEP, Burla and the agreement was signed on Dt.05.07.2016.
After completion of R&M Works, the Unit No. 5 & 6 of HHEP, Burla have been put into commercial operation since 09.01.2022 and 02.11.2021 respectively.
The contract agreement for “Renovation & modernization with new T&G set of Unit 3 of CHEP, Chiplima was signed with M/s Voith Hydro Pvt. Ltd, India on Dt. 15.10.2015. The effective date of contract is 15.10.2015 and the activity for R & M has been commenced. Refurbishment & repair work (guide grooves &under water concrete) of the intake &draft tube gates has been completed. Dismantling activities completed. Discharge ring welding completed and concreting behind Discharge ring is completed. Building of Stator core is in progress. LAVT, NGT, Protection panel, Excitation panels & excitation transformer, UAB, DCDB, UAT placed in respective location and Cabling work started.. Turbine HPU system of Governor & Accumulator, Cooling water system installation is in progress. Refurbishment and repair works of Drainage &dewatering pit and other civil works of Penstock and spiral case is in progress.
OHPC has engaged M/s WAPCOS Ltd. as consultant for providing Consultancy services for implementation of the R&M project of Unit 3 of CHEP, Chiplima and the agreement was signed on 05.07.2016.
OHPC has already approved various design drawing /documents like CFD Analysis, Turbine Design, Generator cross Section, D & D System, Design Memo of different auxiliaries which are essential for manufacturing of the equipment. The manufacturing of these equipment’s are in advanced stage.
After completion of R&M Works, the Unit No. 3 of CHEP, Chiplima has been put into commercial operation since 21.01.2020.
The contract agreement for “Renovation & Modernization with new T & G set of Unit 1 to 6 of BHEP, Balimela with M/S BHEL was signed on Dt.21.09.2016.The Effective date of contract is from 05.08.2016. Kick off Meeting with M/s BHEL was held on Dt.08.11.2016. Design & drawing submission & review is under process.
OHPC has engaged M/s WAPCOS Ltd. as consultant for Providing Consultancy services for implementation of the R & M project of Unit 1 to 6 of BHEP, Balimela and the agreement was signed on Dt.30.08.2016.
After completion of their R&M Works, the Unit No. 1, 2, 3 & 4 of BHEP, Balimela have been put into commercial operation since 15.04.2022, 29.12.2021, 10.04.2024 and 06.02.2024 respectively.
