A Landmark Milestone for Odisha’s Clean Energy Journey!

On the auspicious occasion of Bahuda Yatra, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC) has issued the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) of the 600 MW Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Project (4×150 MW) at Ranibahal, Kalahandi.

The LoI was formally signed in the august presence of Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Energy Department & Chairman-cum-Managing Director, OHPC Ltd., and in the presence of Director (Operation), Director (Finance), Director (HR), and Director (Projects), OHPC Ltd. and other officials of Energy Department and OHPC Ltd.

The Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Project is one of the largest hydro power projects to be taken up in Odisha in recent decades. The project will play a pivotal role in enhancing grid stability, enabling greater integration of solar and other renewable energy sources, strengthening energy security, and supporting India’s clean energy transition.

This landmark initiative reaffirms OHPC’s commitment to developing world-class sustainable infrastructure and accelerating Odisha’s emergence as a leading clean energy hub.
